Fear the Greek Deer!

Giannis Antetokounmpo is on a mission this season. Get the Bucks a Top 4 seed in the East, and win the MVP award. He’s on track to challenge for both at this rate.

Giannis has the Bucks moving in the right direction again after a slow start, and now has them over .500 with a 12-10 record, after a strong finish to the month of November (the Bucks started the month 0-4 before winning 6 of their last 9 games).

Our Team of the Week is one of the up and coming teams in the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks!

Player of the Week: Giannis Antetokounmpo

It is so much fun to watch Giannis develop into an absolute superstar! The very last string to his bow is seemingly the 3 point shot, and once he has that shot firing, you can just forget about trying to guard him.

In a 3 game stretch this past week the Bucks managed to go 2-1, with Giannis averaging 31 PPG, 10.3 RPG and 4.6 APG. Giannis had two monster games to finish the week, piling on 33 points and 13 rebounds in a big win over Sacramento, and a huge 40 point performance in a loss to the Celtics.

Giannis knows his strengths as he’s attempting less than two 3 point shots a game, while averaging close to 10 free throws a game, an absolute nightmare going to the basket with his incredible length.

Game of the Week: Boston v Milwaukee (111-100)

A really enjoyable game between two young superstars of the league, with Kyrie Irving and Giannis going toe to toe. Giannis won the points battle, outscoring Kyrie 40-32, but the young Celtics managed to claw out a tough win at home.

Our young Aussie, Thon Maker, saw a dip in minutes in this contest.

These are the kinds of games you want to see the Bucks in, to see if they really are up for the challenge against the elite (Cleveland and Boston) in the Eastern Conference.

Milwaukee will need more help from the likes of Bledsoe and Middleton in big games like this to help shoulder the load from Giannis.

Looking ahead to this week for the Bucks, they have a 3 game home stand, with the Pistons, Mavericks and Jazz coming to town. The Bucks will want to take care of business on their home floor especially against the likes of the Pistons, whom they’re battling for a top 4 spot currently out in the East.

This team will be around to make some noise come playoff time, as this Greek Deer will only continue to get better as the season goes on!
