The 2020/21 Nets City Edition collection is inspired the Brooklyn boroughs own, Jean-Michael Basquait. An artist who left his mark on art, music and fashion, long after his tragic passing. The Nike Nets City Edition platform aims to celebrate Basquiat’s work by giving a voice to the voiceless, paying homage to the greats and thanking those who have represented Brooklyn and all it has to offer.
The City Edition jerseys honour the fans who, get down to their local arena, and whose passions help define each respective team’s identity. Bringing together the court atmosphere and the cities' streets to capture each team and its city in a way that respects the past and present of the clubs while also positioning them for the future.

Nike products made with recycled polyester are made from used plastic bottles that are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. From there, the pellets are spun into new, high-quality yarn, which is used in our products, delivering peak performance with a lower impact on the environment. Recycled polyester reduces waste and carbon emissions by approximately 30% compared to virgin polyester.
