These shorts were seen on the Grizzlies when starting their second season in the NBA. The Vancouver Grizzlies were looking to put their past 15-67 record from the previous season behind them. Selecting the likes of Shareef Abdur-Rahim third overall in the 1996 NBA draft and acquiring players such as Anthony Peeler and George Lynch from the Los Angeles Lakers put them on the right track.
