1996-97 was Shaq's arrival to the Lakers coinciding with a rookie Kobe Bryant. He added to the impressive lineage of Hall of Fame centers for the iconic franchise, playing 8 seasons and delivering 3 championships. This royal blue and white jersey is a throwback to the original team colours of the Lakers when they transferred from Minneapolis to Los Angeles. The Lakers permanently returned to their purple and gold identity from the 1966-67 season onwards.

The NBA logo appears in gold, commemorating the NBA's 50th Anniversary season.
