Boxing Day Hoops

Boxing Day Hoops

Boxing Day Hoops!

It’s one of the best days on the NBA Calendar season and we are gift wrapped some amazing basketball!

Christmas Day in America/Boxing Day here, however you want to look at it, strap in for 5 epic games back to back to back to back to back!

New York Knicks v Milwaukee Bucks:

If you’re one who’s up early (like me) get ready for what should be a very entertaining game!

New York are 23-32 on Xmas Day and will look to turn things around now they’re playing an exciting brand of basketball. They’ll be facing a Bucks team who lights up the scoreboard themselves, so I hope NBA Fans love their offence as there will be plenty in this one!

Who doesn’t love Giannis and Dame going toe to toe with Brunson and Randle! What a way to get things started on this special day.

Denver Nuggets v Golden State Warriors:

If you’ve decided to sleep in, then you’ll be waking up to a beauty. Denver have shown they have 0 championship hangover, currently in 3rd position out West, whilst their opponents have had their difficulties this season. Golden State have been better of late, with Klay Thompson finding his stroke again to the delight of Steph Curry and the rest of his team mates, still without Draymond Green for the foreseeable future.

Denver should be far too good in this one!

LA Lakers v Boston Celtics:

Arguably the biggest rivalry in all of US Sport, this one should be a belter.

Boston have been one of the best teams in the NBA this season, while the Lakers have dropped their last 4 games.

The addition of Jrue Holiday has given this team another weapon to help them win a title, and they’ll want to get this one over LeBron and AD on Xmas Day.

Tatum, Brown and Holiday v LeBron and AD on the best day of the year? Yes please!

Miami Heat v Philadelphia 76ers:

There’s no one hotter in the league right now than Joel Embiid. He just torched Rudy Gobert and the Minnesota Timberwolves with his 2nd 50 point game in an incredible run of hoops from him. Embiid is looking at back to back MVPs, but he will much prefer an NBA Title over that!

Miami have been playing much better basketball than they were at the start of the season, courtesy of their rookie Jamie Jaquez Jr. Jaquez has been plugged into the starting line up and is the perfect piece alongside Jimmy Butler in this team!

This match will have some feeling in it, and the Embiid v Adebayo match up will go a long way in deciding the outcome.

Phoenix Suns v Dallas Mavericks:

Last but not least, the NBAs newest rivalry closes out our Boxing Day.

Luka has owned the Suns, and there’s always plenty of feeling between he and Devin Booker!

Expect no different in this one, and Dallas will hope to have Kyrie Irving back in this one to help out Luka.

If he’s unavailable, Dallas have found someone to play extremely well in his place! Dante Exum has balled out in this run of starting alongside Luka, and they’ll believe they’re every chance of still knocking off Booker and KD away from home!

It’s going to be a great day of hoops! Merry Xmas everyone!
