NBA FINAL WEEK

NBA FINAL WEEK

We’ve officially made it to the final week of the NBA Regular Season, with teams only having a handful of games remaining.

There’s only one team who has nailed their seeding in the playoffs. That being Boston with the overall 1 seed. All other teams are still jockeying for seedlings in both conferences so it’s sure to be a crazy last week!

Milwaukee have completely butchered their chance to lock up the 2 seed, losing to the likes of Washington, Memphis and Toronto just to name a few in the last week. Doc Rivers was a good hire though apparently…

The Bucks have 4 games to play, and they only have a 1 game advantage ahead of 3rd placed Orlando and New York in 4th, with the Cavs only 1.5 back. Their run home gets a whole lot tougher, facing the Celtics, the Magic twice and OKC in that mix. They could very well drop outside of the top 4 in the last week!

Play-In basketball in the East gets interesting, with Philly 0.5 game ahead of Miami in 8th. Philly would need Indiana to lose out to somehow get out of the Play-In tournament, but at the end of the day they must take care of business themselves to hold onto home court. With Embiid back it seems like they’ll be fine.

The Northwest Division has run the Western Conference all season long, and it’s fitting that 1 game separates the 3 of them. Denver and Minnesota are tied in 1st, and it seems like OKC are good with 3rd, sitting their stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams to freshen them up for a playoff run and take care of their injuries.

The Clippers had a huge win late yesterday v Cleveland and it looks like they have 4th wrapped up with a 2 game lead with 4 games to play. It’s where 5-9 get interesting!

Dallas have won 10 of their last 11, Dante Exum with an enormous game tying 3 yesterday which set up an OT Win v Houston. Sign us up for a 4v5 Clippers v Mavs Round 1 playoff series!

Phoenix and the Pels are tied 6th with 4 games left to play, New Orleans with a huge road win yesterday against the Suns. Phoenix have an incredibly tough run to finish the season, facing the Clippers twice, and finish off on the road at Sacramento and at Minnesota. Good luck with that!

New Orleans have 3 more road games to come before finishing with the Lakers at home, starting on the road at Portland, at Sacramento and at Golden State.

Sacramento are in that chasing pack, 1 game behind both the Pelicans and Phoenix. Given they face both teams, they’re every chance of sneaking into 6th!

The Kings face off At OKC on Wednesday, and the result of that game may very well show us where the Kings mindset is at to finish the season.

LeBron sat out yesterday against Minnie in a home loss, which now puts the Lakers 0.5 a game back of Sacramento in 9th, so there’s still hope for this Lakers team to make a move given the run home of teams ahead of them. They face off against Golden State on Wednesday, and the only chance of the Warriors moving out of 10th is to gain victory here and win out.

Who said that regular season basketball wasn’t exciting!?

The last week of this NBA Season is going to be must watch TV!
