New Years Resolutions

New Years Resolutions

It’s that time of year again. We are a week into the New Year and it’s time to finalise those New Year’s resolutions and make them a reality!

NBA teams need to follow through with theirs, so it’s time to see what every team needs for 2024!

Atlanta: Time to move on from your back court that hasn’t worked. Trade Dejounte Murray.

Boston: Do everything in your power to keep Porzingis healthy for a deep playoff run!

Brooklyn: If there are any Ben Simmons suitors, find them and move him for what ever you can get to get someone on the court.

Charlotte: As good as Rozier and LaMelo are, there’s only room for one of them at the same time.

Chicago: It’s now or never at deadline time to get what you can for LaVine. Plenty of suitors are there, so pick up the phones and get going!

Cleveland: To keep Donovan in the land, the Cavs need a swing man to go with a decent enough roster to make a run at the East.

Dallas: Have to be in the market for a better 3rd/4th option at the 4 spot than Grant Williams with all due respect. Stop wasting Luka/Kyrie chances to win a Chip.

Denver: Allow Jokic to watch as much Serbian Harness racing to keep him motivated for back to back titles!

Detroit: No comment…other than do what ever it takes to build around Cade and Duren by bringing in veteran pieces ala Houston going forward.

Golden State: It’s time to move on from Klay and Draymond (especially Draymond). The Jerseys are going up to the rafters no matter what!

Houston: Rome wasn’t built in a day! Continue to build through your young core with great veteran/championship winning pieces like VanVleet and Uncle Jeff next season!

Indiana: Get what you can for Buddy Hield to solidify your bench unit going forward.

LA Clippers: Plenty of non-believers in the Harden move are being made to look silly (myself included). Do what ever it takes to keep Kawhi and PG healthy for a genuine Championship run.

LA Lakers: Their current roster isn’t good enough for an NBA Championship. Dejounte Murray helps this team if you’re willing to move pieces on.

Memphis: With Ja unfortunately out for the year, keep him off social media and into the rehab facility!

Miami: As good as this team is, make a move to get LaVine to give them another shot at the East!

Milwaukee: Need another defensive enforcer to turn the tide for them. Offensively one of the best but their effort on the other end of the floor may hurt.

Minnesota: Give Ant a blank cheque book to stay in Minnie before they all come for him!

New Orleans: Keep Zion away from the buffet and this team is talented enough to cause an upset or 2 in the Playoffs.

New York: Made their resolution a reality with OG. Time to get Mitch Rob healthy now.

OKC: With assets galore, Sam Presti needs to make the move to get them to the next level as they aren’t far off!

Orlando: Too many point guards, something has to give as this team is so close to getting this right, one has to go though.

Philadelphia: The health of Embiid is the most important thing come playoff time.

Phoenix: Getting the big 3 on the court is key if this team has any shot of making any noise for the remainder of the season.

Portland: Give the keys to Scoot and Sharpe and see what they’ve got to finish the season. Wouldn’t rule out an Anfernee Simons move for pieces.

Sacramento: Call Toronto and continue to ask about Siakam!

San Antonio: Keep a close eye on the play of Alex Sarr…French Eiffel Towers incoming!

Toronto: Made their move for RJ Barrett, move Pascal onto Sacramento for Keegan Murray and rebuild from their young core with Barnes.

Utah: Clarkson has been in talks to head back to LA. Hood-Schifino + draft picks would be beneficial to them.

Washington: Poole time in Washington has not worked. Trade deadline is less than month away…

The next month may make things very interesting for everyone’s New Year’s resolutions!

Cheers
