The champs are on the brink of elimination, and it was bedlam in Phoenix, with the Suns rolling to a 30 point win in Game 5 of the best of 7 series taking a 3-2 lead.
The Lakers looked lost without AD, but the Suns weren’t letting up on a team led by LeBron James, knowing giving him any sniff in this one could’ve been very costly.
Devin Booker showed his class and why he is an All-Star in this league, going off for 30 Points and 7 Rebounds, setting the tone early for this team and lifting the roof off the arena with his brilliant play!
LeBron James was clearly frustrated, as he was given nothing from his back court (Schroder 0-9 with a donut and another donut from KCP), but his body language and attitude was incredibly poor.
That simply can’t happen, especially if AD is no good in Game 6, as this team needs LeBron to get his team mates up for the contest.
He can’t be walking around sulking on the court because they’re getting beat up!
LeBron has never been defeated in a 1st round series in his career, so there’s no counting him and the Lakers out just yet.
Phoenix will need to get a jump on them early in Game 6 and kick their opponents while they’re down!
Another contest that’ll be just as amazing to keep an eye on Friday, will be Nuggets Blazers Game 6 in Portland.
What more do you need to say about Damian Lillard!
He was a one man band today, going down in 2OT and at no fault of his own.
Dame went off for a playoff record 55 Points (12-17 from 3) and 10 Assists, forcing both Overtime periods with 2 insanely difficult threes.
The difference in this one though, was Portland’s inability to make plays down the stretch (outside of Dame), and Denver having multiple guys hit big shots!
Monte Morris and Austin Rivers continue to torment the Blazers in this series, going for 28 and 18 respectively, whilst their own MVP was up to his usual tricks.
Jokic posted 38 Points, 11 Rebounds and 9 Assists, proving once again just how special of a player he is.
There’s sure to be plenty of madness come Friday, with 2 of the biggest stars in the game (LeBron and Dame) facing elimination in the opening round of the playoffs!
You’d be brave to be betting against either of them.
