The Slim Reaper was nothing short of phenomenal in Game 5, and has his Nets one win away from the Eastern Conference Finals.
Kevin Durant put on one of the great playoff performances in recent memory, pouring in 49 Points, 17 Rebounds and 10 Assists, becoming the first player in playoff history to score 45+Pts, 15+Rbs and 10+Asts.
The Nets may have had James Harden back for this one, but this triple double and win was all KD, as he willed his team from a 17 point deficit to a 6 point win, and just about put the nail in the coffin for a Bucks team that’ll know that’s one that got away!
Harden looked sluggish, going 1-10 from the field to go along with 6 rebounds and 8 assists in his return to the Nets line up.
He will need to be back to his old self come Game 6, as Brooklyn can’t be relying on Durant to give us back to back performances like that in Milwaukee.
Although, if Jeff Green can provide another Steph Curry like performance off the pine (27 Points 7-8 3pt), they may not need big game James after all!
Milwaukee’s offence was awful down the stretch.
It was stagnant and full of iso ball, which is the opposite of what got them the big lead in the first place, so they’ll want to be scrapping that back home in Milwaukee on Friday.
Giannis just putting his head down going towards the rim won’t cut it if this team wants to advance!
The good teams can forget about a bad loss, and that’s exactly what the Bucks need to do to force a game 7 and head back to Brooklyn for a chance to get into the conference finals.
It’s unknown if Kyrie will be back for Game 6, but for the sake of this series that deserves to go to 7, here’s hoping they put him on ice for one more game and we can watch two of the best teams in the league go at it on Sunday in Brooklyn.
It’s sure to be a huge Game 6 on Friday!
