Thank you Boomers!

So much was said in the lead up to this World Cup with all the players that were missing, if the World Cup actually meant anything…

Look no further than our boy Patty Mills! The amount of pride Patty has in wearing the green and gold makes you love this team more and more in big moments.

His cold blooded step back three to seal the win against Lithuania gave Australia the inside running to the Qtr finals, and sent chills down all Aussie Hoops fans rewarding us with first place in our group.

This group of guys in general though has played with so much pride and passion through the first 3 games of the tournament.

Delly’s offensive game has always been questioned, yet he’s balled out early on in this tournament (a revamped jump shot doing the trick).

Aron Baynes plays with so much passion, and defends the rim extremely well. Baynes doesn’t care if he gets dunked on, he’s going to meet you at the rim and you’re going to have to work for that dunk!

Then there’s Joe Ingles. We’ve waited on a tournament like this from him for a long time. Our offence runs so much better when the ball is in his hands, Patty running everyone crazy off picks, and lobs to Baynes and Bogut.

We have all the tools for a long run in this tournament, and we will see just how far we have come when we face off with France in the second round.

As long as the French take care of Lithuania, we will progress to the Qtrs regardless of our result against France (granted we take care of the Dominican Republic), but seeding will be of the utmost importance.

A crossover in the Qtrs, if we manage to finish 2nd in our new group, with the USA awaits (presuming they win out), whichalmost makes the game against the French a must win.

Some great basketball awaits us the next few nights, and there’s no doubt if the boys are locked in, they can cause an upset against France and create a little chaos for the rest of the tournament!
